Tours
Firaxis organizes company tours for public and private schools, elementary through college.

Partnerships
Firaxis is engaged in a close partnership with MICA (the Maryland Institute, College of Art), one of the leading art schools in the nation, located in urban Baltimore. The Firaxis digital art workforce is well represented by MICA graduates; the internship program by current students.

Firaxis is working with Bowie State University, located in Prince Georges County, near Washington, DC, to assist in creating a new game industry training program, and initiating a student chapter of the IGDA.

Firaxis has a growing relationship with research scientists at the University of Wisconsin @ Madison with the shared goal of studying the impact of Civilization game play on long term student interest and performance in history.

Firaxis donates employee volunteer hours to the Maryland Business Round Table for Education in mentoring creation of a Teen Website to improve school performance for under-performing high school students in Baltimore City.

Internships
Firaxis regularly employs interns from the local community and across the nation. To learn how to apply for an internship at Firaxis, click here.

Collaborations in Interactive Education
Firaxis has inspired teachers from around the globe to exploit the "stealth education" properties of games to educate students. We take a "behind the scenes" approach to supporting the work of academic researchers and classroom practitioners that champion interactive education to transform the way children learn. Interested educators should see our Teacher Features area in the Community section of this web site.
