Jon joined Firaxis in February 2005, after a long and impressive tenure as a modder in the Civilization Community. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in History from Towson University, made the transition to developer with Civilization IV, and then worked on Civ IV’s three expansions. Now lead designer on an unannounced project, Jon spends his free time with various combinations of browsing forums, studying Japanese, working out, and listening to music (sometimes all at the same time). He is, sadly, infamous for being terrible at games not named Civilization.
