Steve joined the Firaxis team in August of 2007 after a 27 year-long career in "the industry" with developers such as Microprose, Electronic Zoo, Steven Meyer & Assoc., Breakaway Games, and more. In addition, Steve also founded Meyer/Glass Interactive, as well as Meyer/Glass Design, one of the top toy invention firms in the toy industry, specializing in licensing top selling toy concepts. Steve has brought his extensive industry experience to bear with his first Firaxis product, Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution, which broke many technical barriers at Firaxis, including simultaneous development of three different platforms.
Married with 2 children, Steve enjoys the more traditional pastimes of hiking, biking, flying, and tinkering with antique motorcycles when he’s not in his role as Director of Software Development.
And here's a fun fact for all of you arcade junkies out there (like your humble webmaster). Steve was the wonderful individual who brought us such arcade classics as Tapper, Timber, Wacko, Domino Man, and my all-time personal favorite, Journey.
Steve's Game History:
Domino Man, Wacko, Timber, Journey, Turbo Tag, Gunship, F15 II, M1 Tank Platoon, Stealth Fighter, F19 Stealth Fighter, Airborne Ranger, Red Storm Rising, Pirates, Silent Service, 688 Attack Sub, Diplomacy, Axis & Allies, Missile Command, Battleship, Mech Assault, Battle From Middle Earth-Rise of the Witch King, Sid Meier's Civilization Revolution; Sid Meier's Civilization IV: Colonization;
