Steve Martin Photo Civilization Revolution - who says you can't take it with you?
Sid Meier

Months ago I was reading an article written by a game journalist conveying his excitement over the announcement of Civilization Revolution. He expressed particular enthusiasm about the DS version exclaiming: "If Firaxis can create a worthy handheld version of Civ they'll make grown men around the world cry like babies". Well...get out your hankies and weep 'cause soon you'll have an incredibly fun and addictive game of Civ that you can take with you...wherever you go.

Civilization Revolution on the Nintendo DS delivers the same core gameplay that we've built for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions, along with a look that's completely unique and suited to the wildly popular handheld (see Steve Ogden's article below) and a UI that takes full advantage of the stylus and dual screen. So, start practicing your "point-and-drag" people! We've also built in Wi-Fi multiplayer so you can play with your friends in 1v1, 2v2 or 4 player free-for-all matches any time, any place.

The game is a natural fit on the DS and we can't wait to get it in the hands of Civ players around the world - it's an exciting step forward for Civ and a dream come true for those of us who just can't wait to take that next turn.

These pixilated works of art walked and ran, talked and fought, all in the grandest tradition of hand-drawn cel animation, aided by the latest technology at the time, and crunched into the smallest memory footprint imaginable.

Ultimate Gamer Tech Tips Civilization IV Modding Contest

We have a stack of Dell XPS Desktops and a Laptop burning a hole in our pocket. Any ideas what we should do with them? Perhaps we should give them away with some sort of contest. If only we could come up with something challenging for people to do involving Civilization IV. Something that they could make perhaps...hmmmm...
